Jennifer and Scott | Wedding at the Addison in Boca Raton

This wedding at The Addison in Boca Raton is a true reflection of its gorgeous surroundings. A little bit modern, a dash of vintage, with shades of blush, blue and gold peeping throughout. The sparkling lights above the ceremony in the court house were absolutely stunning amidst the 100 year old banyan trees. Jennifer and Scott deemed this venue as one of the most beautiful venues they had ever seen. And It was a no brainer that they wanted The Addison to be the special place they tied the knot.

Jennifer and Scott. This gorgeous duo met while playing competitively against each other in a South Florida Kick Ball league. During a meet and greet before the tournament, Jennifer and Scott locked eyes and from then on knew they had to get to know one another. Once they met they were attached at the hip….although Jennifer quickly found out Scott lived in Virginia. But that didn’t stop them from establishing a relationship…(hear what Scott has to say)  “As I had to make my way home to Virginia, we kept in touch, to the tune of 3-4 hour conversations each night for weeks and months on end. Very early we talked about moving, not that either one of us was going to make any plans to move any time soon, but if we were willing to move if the relationship took that course. We both were, but the idea of moving to Florida was far more appealing to me than Virginia would have been for her. Several months in, I knew that I had to move, that I didn’t want to spend any longer long distance than I had to. As I told Jen when I asked her to marry me, I don’t feel like I’ve ever had a choice in any of this. From the moment that I met her, I had to get to know her. From the moment that I knew her, I had to fall in love with her. From the moment that I fell in love, I had to move to be closer to her. And now, I have to marry her, I don’t have a choice; it’s not something that I want, it’s something that I need. I need her to be my wife.

From the Bride…

Special traditions: Jen was wearing her Great Grandmother's wedding ring as a right hand ring, earrings borrowed from her mother and a blue handkerchief in her purse. We exchanged wedding presents with each other prior to the wedding, as well as reading vows we had written for one another.

Advice for the recently engaged couple: The biggest thing we would remind a newly engaged couple is that in the long run, the wedding doesn't matter.... It's likely that everything won't be perfect, and you might not get everything you ever wanted, but the important part is the person standing by your side. Getting to marry the love of your life is so much more important than the color of the chair covers, take this opportunity to share the journey with your significant other, the rest will take care of itself.
